If you’re planning a party or celebration, then consider a photo collage to help make your event special. We begin with your favorite photos and mementos, lay them out in an artful arrangement, and then print the final product, usually as a mounted poster.
What should I include?
Pretty much anything you can think of can be incorporated. Photos are the most popular items for inclusion, but that’s not all. Here are some examples of other things that can be used for a collage:
- Ticket stubs
- Invitations
- Programs
- Newspaper clippings
- Yearbook pages
Am I limited to two-dimensional items?
No, if someone has received an award like a trophy or a statuette, we can photograph it and include it in the collage as well.
My pictures aren’t digital. Can they still be used?
Of course, we can work from flat photos, negatives or slides.
Who decides how things are laid out in a collage?
You may choose from an auto collage or a custom collage. Out auto collage program randomly places and sizes the images. It’s a more economical layout choice, but it does not allow any changes. A custom collage allows total control over placement and image size.
What size collage should I make?
Our most popular collage size is 24”x36”. We’ll help you pick the size that is right for what you want to include and where the collage will eventually be displayed.
How many items should be in my collage?
A larger collage may include thirty photos or more. A smaller collage should have fewer items to ensure easy viewing.
Can I add text?
Certainly, any text you want can be included.
How long does the process take?
2-4 days for a collage proof, and then a day or two for printing and mounting.
Will I see the collage before it’s printed?
Most people elect to have us mount their collage prints- more on this below. Unmounted prints are returned to you in a protective tube.
How is the collage print packaged?
Most people elect to have us mount their collage on 3/16 inch foam core board. Other choices include:
- 1/2 inch Gator foam – thicker and more permanent
- Coda standout board – also thicker and with a finished edge
- Readymade frames in standard sizes
- “Sign-in” board mounting – the collage is mounted on a board with a border for guests to sign
- Custom framing and matting for collages that will be permanently displayed after the event
- Prints that are not mounted are returned to you in a protective tube
